Overview

Nestled in the heart of Paris’s 17th arrondissement, Cafuné offers a refreshing take on brunch that draws deeply from Brazilian culinary traditions. This intimate spot at 61 Rue des Batignolles is a cozy haven where authenticity meets comfort, making it a must-visit for those seeking a unique and flavorful brunch experience.

The restaurant’s menu highlights an array of Brazilian staples that are both hearty and inviting. Staples like pão de queijo — the classic Brazilian cheese bread — are crafted with precision, delivering that characteristic gooey texture that transports you straight to Brazil. The tapioca crepes stand out for their versatility, available with both sweet and savory fillings such as coconut with condensed milk, or ham with cream cheese and tomatoes, each served with vibrant, fresh salads that balance every bite.

Cafuné’s açai bowl offers a nutritious, vibrant option—perfect for those who favor fresh and wholesome flavors. Beverages at Cafuné are not to be overlooked; from rich espresso and velvety café lattes to the warm, comforting maté, there’s something to satisfy every palate. The sweet treats, like the carrot cake topped with chocolate ganache, strike a refined balance—not overpoweringly sweet, but expertly crafted to round out the meal.

The space itself is charmingly small and inviting, fostering a sense of intimacy that enhances the dining experience. While limited in size, this adds to the authentic, neighborhood café vibe, encouraging guests to savor each moment and flavor. A small outdoor table offers an alternative to enjoy Parisian street views during warmer days.

Ideal for food lovers curious about Brazilian cuisine or brunch enthusiasts looking for something beyond the usual fare, Cafuné caters to those who appreciate quality, tradition, and a bit of adventure on their plate. The owner’s deep knowledge and passion resonate throughout the dishes, creating an atmosphere that feels personal and genuine.

Whether you’re escaping a rainy Paris afternoon or meeting friends for a leisurely weekend meal, Cafuné stands out as a warm, inviting retreat where delicious Brazilian brunch classics come alive. It’s a place that invites repeated visits, each promising fresh discoveries and a comforting taste of Brazil.

I came here with my friend and we loved it !! A safe heaven from the rain that serves a variety of drinks, including warm maté (which i took and was amazing). They also serve the gooeyest pão de queijo. And they have a broad choice tapioca fillings whether you want sweet or salty. I took a coconut shavings and condensed milk one that came with a blop of whipped cream. Whereas my friend decided to take a savoury one with ham, cream cheese, tomatoes (and maybe soemething else but i forgot) that came with a huge salad with vinaigraite, they were both scrumptious, balanced and flavourful. As well the carrot cake we had at the end was spectacular, not too sweet, well balanced thanks to the chocolate ganache on top.

This place was amazing!!! It's really tiny, so during the weekends expect to wait for 30-40min during peak times, but rest assured it's toooooootally worth it! I discovered it thanks to my Brazilian friend, she introduced me to tapioca (the brazilian style). The brunch menu is actually great and very filling! You get to try pan de queijo, mate, sweet or salty tapioca, sweet tapioca or cake or açai bowl all for a very decent price. Will definitely go back soon and try the other flavors. Definitely a great brunch place to add to my list :)

Such a lovely experience. The place is small and so cosy. The owner is brasilian and knows his products. The choice is appealing. The pao de queijo is exactly the same I have tested in Brazil. The tapioca crepes are unique. I am looking forward to come back to try the acai bowl !!! Price are correct. There is also a table outside . Thank you !!!

Amazing food! I got pão de queijo and the carrot cake for a work event and everyone loved it! At first I thought 1 euro for each pao de queijo was expensive but the pao de queijo is a really good size and so worth it!
